The tour starts in the vibrant City of Kampala (home to Art and Craft galleries, Museums, numerous eateries, shopping Malls and bustling nightlife). You will then be driven to the stunning Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to over 95 mammal species and about 600 bird species. While you will have two activities, it will interest you to know that Queen Elizabeth National Park can be explored via birding tours, guided bush walks, lion tracking, chimpanzee tracking and community walks.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to the Medley of Wonders (Queen Elizabeth National Park)
Rise and Shine!!! On the first day. You will be picked from your place of residence in Kampala/or Entebbe bright and early to be transferred to western Uganda. The Journey will take about 6-7 hours via Fort Portal and will involve taking in views of tea plantations, Crater Lakes, forests and savannah plains along the way. Lunch will be enjoyed in the Tourism City of Uganda (Fort Portal) before continuing to Kasese then to your booked accommodation of choice.
After checking in and relaxing at the Lodge, you will have time to undertake an evening game drive for an opportunity to see the nocturnal wildlife that include jackals, lions, spotted hyenas, serval cats, and leopards as well as the banded mongoose will be seen. Your driver will return you back to the Lodge for dinner and slumber.

Day 2: Tour of Queen Elizabeth National Park- game viewing and boat ride
Grab a cup of coffee or tea and hop on the safari vehicle for an in-depth game drive tour of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Gazetted in 1952, this Protected Area is a gem for game viewing and other remarkable activities. The game drive through Queen Elizabeth National park’s Northern Plains will last 3-4 hours and increase chances of sighting lions, Defassa waterbucks, bushbucks, elephants, warthogs, Uganda Kobs, Cape buffaloes, leopards, spotted hyenas, Topis, Hippos, the Banded mongoose, to mention but a few. You will have a proper breakfast or brunch after this informative game drive, rest and have lunch.
In the afternoon, take a boat ride on Kazinga Channel, spotting different wildlife species that include hippos, Nile crocodiles, and sometimes buffaloes as well as elephants. This Boat ride is a perfect birding opportunity with sights of African fish eagles, African skimmers, great white and pink-backed pelicans and if lucky the shoebill storks.
