Your first place to visit is the Uganda Martyrs Shrine in Namugongo, a religious site but also the spot where over 22 Ugandans were killed between 1885 and 1887 under the orders of Kabaka Mwanga for refusing to denounce their religion. Learn about their horrors and the painful story of how each of them was murdered.

Continue the Tour with a visit to Uganda National Museum to have insight into the ethnological, natural-historical, and traditional life collections of the country’s heritage. Being the oldest Museum in the East African region, it was established in 1908.

Your Kampala City Tour takes a break with lunch in one of the best eateries in Kampala City. Continue to Kasubi Royal Tombs, the final resting place for four of Buganda’s Kings (Kabakas). Although part of the site was burnt in 2010, there is still much to discover. Your Tour continues to Kabaka’s Palace in Mengo, one of the official residencies of the King. Afterward, it’s time to say goodbye to the King’s Palace and drive back to the Hotel in Kampala.
