This spectacular Wilderness Camp is marked by a grass-thatched and raised dining area that rewards guests with magnificent views of the sweeping Kasenyi plains which are incredibly dotted with several wildlife species that include elephants, Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, Defassa waterbucks, warthogs, and sometimes lions. Here guests are accommodated in Tents with thatched canopy roofs that are elevated from the ground to keep guests safe from intruding animals, given the fact that the area receives surprise guests (wildlife).

Kasenyi Safari Camp rooms and amenities

There are 8 Safari Tents at Kasenyi Safari Camp and each of them features an en-suite bathroom, a large private deck, and a spacious living area for unwinding after a long day of Queen Elizabeth National Park activities. Guests are sometimes treated to surprise wildlife views while relaxing in the comfort of their private rooms. Usually, it’s the Defassa waterbucks, leopards, buffaloes, lions, elephants, Uganda Kobs, Cape buffaloes, and spotted hyenas that are spotted by Kasenyi Safari Camp guests. It is also common for visitors to enjoy Hyena laughs and lion roars after dark.

In addition to the comfort and privacy enjoyed by guests in the exquisite Safari Tents, other facilities/amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi at the main restaurant area for browsing and being in touch with family and friends. It is possible at Kasenyi Safari Camp whereby guests are treated to these special arrangements while watching sunrise or sunset with friends or family. For sundowners, expect drinks and snacks while sharing stories of the wilderness experiences.

Guided bush walks

Guided bush walks can be undertaken around the premises of Kasenyi Safari Camp or inside Queen Elizabeth National Park to explore the stunning vegetation, and spot different wildlife species and birds.

Game drives

While staying at Kasenyi Safari Camp, guests have an opportunity of undertaking game drives in the sweeping Kasenyi plains where lions, leopards, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, Defassa waterbucks, African bush elephants, Topis, and Hippos are sighted.

Boat rides

Undertaken in Kazinga Channel, boat rides make it possible to sight high concentrations of Nile crocodiles, Hippos, and different bird species, especially Pink-backed pelicans, Pied and Malachite Kingfishers, African skimmers, African fish eagles, shoebill storks, and many others.

Guided village walks

Guided walks are usually done in the nearby fishing village and these introduce guests to the different fish species caught in Lakes Edward and George, learn about fish preservation, in addition to community birding, and also interact with the local community members.

Chimpanzee tracking

Chimpanzee tracking in Queen Elizabeth National Park is undertaken within Kyambura Gorge, only 30 minutes’ drive from Kasenyi Safari Camp.
