Are you interested in staying in an accommodation facility that is surrounded by a secluded wilderness area during your visit to Kidepo valley National Park? The Adere Safari Lodge is where your journey should begin. This is one of the recently established accommodation facilities in Uganda’s remotest savannah National Park set in the extreme northeastern side of Uganda.
Kidepo valley National Park doesn’t need an introduction when it comes to providing real wilderness experiences and this epitome of beauty is the country’s third largest National Park but given its remote location, many travelers avoid visiting it. However, the visitors that take time to explore the beauty of this Park always leave totally speechless and breathless.
Since opening its doors in 2019, Adere Safari Lodge has committed itself to promote the tradition and culture of the Karamojong people, with its traditional architectural designs by local craftsmen and this comes with a special touch of modernity hence providing guests with one of the most unforgettable moments during their trip.
The name “Adere” means “calabash” in the local Ateso dialect and describes a local gourd made from the hard shell of gourd fruits. It is dried and culturally used for storing/serving food as well as drinking water and local beer.
Adere Safari Lodge is strategically located, only about 5 minutes’ drive from the entry gate thus making it visitors’ preferred place of stay because it will be easier to get into the Park during game drives, birding tours, guided bush walks, or mountain climbing. Surprisingly, this Lodge is outside the park but totally hidden and surrounded by a typical wilderness. Whether your dream during an African safari is to take part in a guided game drive through a wilderness Area, enjoy a mouth-watering bush breakfast or sunset breakfast, just take a leisurely walk around the Lodge, Campfire with friends and family, or simply have a quiet night while reading a book by the fireplace, be rest assured that Adere Safari Lodge will provide it and make your stay unforgettable.
