Are you looking for Luxury and comfort during your Rwanda Gorilla Safari? Allow us to introduce the elegant Singita Kwitonda Lodge, comfortably set right at the edge of Volcanoes National Park in the Northwestern side of Rwanda. This Luxury Lodge’s extraordinary location provides visitors the perfect opportunity of connecting to Kinigi Park Headquarters- starting point for Volcanoes National Park activities such as gorilla trekking, golden monkey tracking, hiking Virunga Volcanoes, guided forest walks, Dian Fossey Gravesite Hike, and others.

Singita, having operated ultra-luxury Safari Lodges in Africa for over two decades decided to venture in the raw Rwandan accommodation sector and Singita Kwitonda Lodge was officially opened to visitors on the 1st of August 2019 hence adding to the list of already existing Lodges offering Luxury around the Gorilla Sanctuary. This Lodge, named after a popular Silverback-Kwitonda sits on 178 acres of virgin lands on the edges of Volcanoes National Park.

Embodying the unique hospitality spirit and goodwill of Rwandans, Singita Kwitonda Lodge sums up the amazing recovery from the painful 1994 genocide. This Lodge is fundamental in conservation, ecotourism and the promotion of community partnerships. It also honors Rwanda’s raw and fertile land and this has made Singita Kwitonda Lodge one of the most sustainable Lodges in Africa.

Beautiful lush vegetation such as forest ferns, giant lobelias, trees and bamboo offer a beautiful backdrop that engulfs the structures and provides an amazing opportunity of reclaiming different species back into the natural rainforest. Singita Kwitonda Lodge’s Suites are suspended on phenomenal stone walls that rise out of volcanic boulders and have green roofs, and stone-walled and organic cabin structures with private verandas.
