Bwindi Impenetrable National Park covers about 331 square kilometers in southwestern Uganda and shelters the highest population of these Giant Apes. Also, this Park has the highest ever-recorded concentration of mammals at 120 species, 350 bird species that include Albertine Rift endemics and over 200 butterfly species. You will even get the chance to overnight in one of the Jungle Lodges surrounded by the verdant forest.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in the beautiful Pearl of Africa- Entebbe International Airport and transfer to the Hotel.
Upon arrival at the beautiful Entebbe International Airport on the banks of Lake Victoria, your private safari driver will meet, greet and drive you to your reserved Hotel in Entebbe. You will have the remainder of the day to relax or explore the top tourist sites like Entebbe Botanical Gardens, Mabamba Wetland, Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary or Uganda Wildlife Education Center.

Day 2: Entebbe – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by air
This morning, you will be transferred from your Hotel in Entebbe to the Airport for your domestic flight to the “ultimate gorilla trekking destination”- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On getting there after a one hour and 30 minutes’ flight, your driver (another) will welcome and take you to your Lodge in Bwindi. The 2-hour drive comes with breathtaking views and immediately check-in at the Lodge for relaxation until lunchtime.

Flight time: 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Tour- Gorilla Trekking and cultural tour
After breakfast, you will head to the Park Headquarters for the mandatory registration and briefing before starting the gorilla trek. After 30 minutes of entertainment from the local community group, you will be introduced to the trekking rules and regulations by the Park Ranger, grab a walking stick, wear a mask and start the walk through Bwindi Forest.
Be prepared to walk for 1-6 hours while sighting different primates, remarkable tree species, colorful birds, and butterflies before finally coming across the Giant Apes. You will have the most unforgettable one hour of your life to observe them go about their daily routines, and also take photos.
A hefty and warm meal awaits you at the Lodge and later, embark on the walk that will lead you to the first inhabitants of the Central African forest- the Batwa for an up-close experience of the ancient ways of life.
